RIP The Rev

James Owen Sullivan - The Rev, drummer of one of our favourite bands, Avenged Sevenfold, has passed away at the age of 28.

Rest in peace brother.

A freezing cold multi-storey car park in South London was our home for the WE ARE THE OCEAN video shoot this past Saturday. Thankfully, there was a McDonalds nearby to keep us all fuelled for the day as the WATO boys shiverred their way through take after take.

We'd like to say a massive THANK YOU to all who attended and were patient enough to stand around between takes... whoever said making music videos was glamourous knows nothing!!!

The weekend that was... Reading 2009

Well, Reading was an absolute stormer this year! Thanks to everyone that stopped by the Criminal Damage tent in the arena... we were busy busy busy all weekend, but that didn't stop us from catching blinding sets from Faith No More, The Gaslight Anthem, 3Oh!3, Lostprophets, Mariachi El Bronx, The Eagles Of Death Metal, Fall Out boy, Friendly Fires, and plenty more.

Over the course of the weekend, we were paid visits by members of Young Guns, T.R.C, We Are The Ocean, The Eagles Of Death Metal, Friendly Fires, and Sonic Boom Six among others... and for those of you that saw The Eagles Of Death Metal and Friendly Fires sets, you will have seen them sporting some Criminal Damage threads, as well as Bob from The Blackout when he joined Lostprophets onstage!

The club takes place on the 3rd Friday of every month at the Purple Turtle in Camden Town, with a pre-club gig beforehand. In the past, bands such as Young Guns, We Are The Ocean, Horse The Band, Shotgun Riot, Lower Than Atlantis, and Outcry Collective have all graced the Hot Damn! stage.

The next Hot Damn! takes place on the 21st August, so get down there to dance the night away and see what all the fuss is about!

Bloomsbury Lanes in Central London played host to the Ghost Of A Thousand album launch last night. The free to get into show was jam packed all night, as attendees got to watch blistering performances from Warship, Outcry Collective, and of course The Ghost Of A Thousand. Kerrang and Criminal Damage DJ's kept the punters entertained 'til the small hours when the venue was finally drunk dry.

As we mentioned previously, Failsafe will be putting in a performance at Londons Face Down club on the 5th June. Face Down is one of Londons hottest new clubs, taking place once a month at the famous Scala in Kings Cross.

Slam Dunk festival - The Audition.

Anyone who is anyone was in Leeds over the weekend for this years Slam Dunk festival... (okay, I wasn't there due to getting engaged! Yay me!)

Anyway, among what seemed like a million awesome bands on the bill, were The Audition. After whipping the Glamour Kills Stage crowd into a floppy fringed frenzy, singer Danny dived a good 20ft from a balcony into the masses below! Apparently a girl suffered a broken collarbone (I know how ouchy that is!) If you're reading this, broken collarbone girl, we hope you're okay!!!

Failsafe tour

Our good friends FAILSAFE are hitting the road again in June/July. As well as playing venues all over the UK, they'll also be performing at the FACEDOWN club in London, and at GHOSTFEST in Leeds.
